Our clients had recently installed a swimming pool at their home in Hooksett and wanted some high quality speakers distributed around their new outdoor living space. The area is expansive, including the pool, a BBQ deck, hot tub and seating area. The two bluetooth speakers that they had initially installed just weren’t filling the area with the rich, rounded sound they had imagined. They sounded ok when you were standing right next to them, but not so good the further you moved away. Our clients found themselves having to turn the volume all the way up to get even a bit of sound on the opposite side of the pool, thus potentially disturbing the neighbors. Not ideal.
Landscape Audio
Live Free AV’s solution was to install 12 Sonance landscape speakers and one buried subwoofer around the entertainment area, delivering rich, full sound at low, as well as high, volume levels.
As the entertainment area had only recently been completed it was a challenge getting the speaker cable across hardscape whilst preserving the clean, fresh finish – but with some careful digging and tunnelling under the concrete, we succeeded.
Fast Wifi
To operate optimally, your home network needs a solid foundation and so we also installed a robust WiFi solution both in and outside of the home, ensuring stable system control and enabling our clients and their guests to move throughout the property enjoying a seamless WiFi connection.
Lights
Our clients love to entertain and enjoy creating the right ambience and so, with a combination of path lights and uplights, we brought the whole experience together with landscape lighting surrounding their outdoor living space. Outdoor lighting transforms exterior spaces, improving safety and security and, by selecting key garden features as focal points, creating a magical extra room as dusk falls.
Cameras
To protect their new outdoor audio system we installed high-definition Luma 4k dome security cameras with smart motion technology, which offer crystal-clear video in full HD and alert you to any line-crossing on your property. In addition, we added a Ring Floodlight Cam with 3D Motion Detection, powerful LED beams and a security siren.
Action!
With their love to be outside, our clients would bring an indoor TV out to their entertainment area with a cable box all plugged into an extension cord. If rainy weather came in they would have to quickly pack everything up and get the equipment under cover. So, for a finishing touch, we installed a Séura Full Sun Series 4K UHD and HDR outdoor TV. This is one of the brightest direct-sun TVs out there – designed to have a great, clear picture even in direct sunlight.
Now, our clients can enjoy spending Sundays in the hot tub watching football at the push of a button. They much prefer this new, permanent solution because it’s just that – permanent. Just push a button and everything works immediately… and no need to worry if it rains!
Our clients now refer to their entertainment area as their ‘outdoor oasis’. The cherry on the cake for them was the landscape lighting, which really brought the backyard experience together… and that we brought the whole project in under budget.
